The game then shifts to the Noir universe where Spider-Man Noir moves through the shadows to claim a fragment from Hammerhead, who plans to give it to his boss Norman Osborn. Spider-Man manages to defeat Kraven and claim the fragment.
When Spider-Man confronts Kraven, he uses the fragment’s powers to gain super speed. The game begins in the Amazing universe, with Amazing Spider-Man pursuing Kraven the Hunter for his tablet fragment. In the game, Spider-Man attempts to retrieve a piece of a tablet that’s been scattered across multiple parallel dimensions, and in doing so he crosses over to storylines famous to comic book aficionados as variant tellings (including The Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Man Noir & Ultimate Spider-Man) of the Spider-Man mythology. It was released in September 2010 for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii & Nintendo DS and in November 2010 for PC.
